What Equipment Does a Complete Resin Sand Reclamation Line Include?

Many customers often have a limited understanding of the core equipment that makes up a complete resin sand reclamation line and how each process links smoothly when planning such a system. In fact, a complete resin sand reclamation line mainly consists of three major parts: the shakeout & sand recovery system, the used sand reclamation system, and the sand mixing system. 1. Shakeout & Sand Recovery System

This system is mainly composed of a vibratory shakeout machine, vibratory conveyor, chain bucket elevator, sand silo, and supporting dust collection equipment. It is responsible for separating castings from molding sand, as well as conveying and storing used sand.

2. Used Sand Reclamation System

This system mainly includes a vibratory crusher, vibratory screen, eddy current friction reclaimer, and supporting dust collection equipment. It removes impurities from used sand and the residual resin film on sand particle surfaces, restoring the original performance of the sand.

3. Sand Mixing System

This system is primarily made up of a continuous double-arm sand mixer, liquid feeding device, and supporting dust collection equipment. It mixes reclaimed sand with auxiliary materials such as resin and curing agent to produce molding sand.

4. Working Process of the Resin Sand Reclamation Line

Each section of the resin sand reclamation line can operate independently and is equipped with its own dust collection system. The dust collectors start and stop synchronously with the corresponding equipment, ensuring effective dust removal while reducing power consumption.

The specific process is as follows: After casting pouring and cooling, the shakeout machine separates the molding sand from the castings. The sand is then conveyed by a conveyor and lifted by an elevator to a sand silo for temporary storage, completing the shakeout and sand recovery process.

Next, the crusher breaks large sand clumps into individual sand particles, and the screen removes debris. The reclaimer uses high-speed eddy current to generate strong friction between sand particles, stripping off surface resin film and micro-powder, and reducing the ignition loss to a level close to that of new sand, thus completing used sand reclamation.

Finally, the sand mixer stirs and mixes reclaimed sand with auxiliary materials including resin and curing agent via twin shafts. The liquid feeding device precisely controls the mixing ratio to ensure stable molding sand strength and curing speed, finishing the sand mixing and molding process.

The resin sand reclamation line is not a fixed, one-size-fits-all solution. Crushers, reclaimers, and sand mixers with different processing capacities can be selected according to actual needs.
