Qingdao Nanchen Ordering & Delivery FAQ
From initial consultation to equipment commissioning, the ordering and delivery process involves many details. We understand that many customers simply want to learn more first, without committing to a purchase right away. To that end, we have compiled frequently asked questions regarding our ordering process and delivery arrangements, hoping to help you take the first step with ease. No matter which stage you are at, you are welcome to contact us at any time.
I. Consultation & Communication
Q: I just want to get a preliminary idea of the equipment without deciding whether to buy yet. Can I still make an inquiry?
A: Absolutely! We fully understand that customers need a process of learning and comparison in the early procurement stage. You do not need to provide extensive documentation—just give us a call with your initial thoughts (e.g., casting types, functional requirements, etc.), and our sales and technical staff will address your questions. There are no prerequisites for consultation, nor does it imply any purchase commitment. Even if you are simply curious about new equipment, we are happy to share and exchange ideas with you.
Q: I am not sure exactly which equipment I need. Can I chat with you first before making a decision?
A: That is exactly how we work. We adopt a "solution-oriented marketing" approach—we do not push model numbers at the outset. Instead, we first understand your current production status and challenges, and help you clarify your needs. You can think of us as your "external technical advisor." Through a phone call or online communication, describe your casting types, approximate output, and existing conditions, and we will provide directional recommendations. After the discussion, you are free to decide whether to proceed further.
II. Solution & Selection
Q: If I want to learn more about equipment solutions suited to my needs, what information should I provide?
A: When you have a preliminary interest, simply let us know: (1) casting types, (2) approximate production capacity requirements, and (3) existing workshop or equipment conditions. Our technical team will provide directional selection recommendations and configuration ideas within 48 hours for your reference and comparison. If the solution does not seem suitable, you may raise your concerns at any time, and we will continue to adjust—no hard selling.
Q: How can I obtain a quotation for the equipment? If I prefer not to provide too many parameters, can I still ask about pricing?
A: Foundry equipment is largely customized, and pricing is significantly affected by factors such as model, configuration, and automation level—there is no one-size-fits-all quotation. If you are not yet ready to provide detailed parameters, we can first share configuration examples from similar customers for reference, or offer a reference price range based on typical operating conditions to help you establish a budget framework. When you have further interest, we will issue a formal quotation based on your specific requirements. The entire process is guided by your preferences—we will follow your pace and provide support at every step you request.
III. Customization & Ordering
Q: Can the equipment be customized to our needs? Is the customization process complicated?
A: Yes. We have in-house design capabilities and can provide non-standard customization based on workshop dimensions, capacity planning, and automation requirements. Customization does not necessarily mean a complicated process. If you are interested, we will arrange for engineers to conduct technical discussions with you, develop a customized solution after understanding your specific needs, and move into production only after both parties confirm the plan. All communications prior to that point are free of charge, and you are welcome to share your ideas at any time.
Q: If we decide to place an order later, what does the complete ordering process look like?
A: At this stage, we will provide you with a clear roadmap. It generally consists of five phases: (1) Requirements confirmation—finalizing the technical solution; (2) Contract signing—specifying configuration, lead time, payment, and after-sales terms; (3) Manufacturing—production scheduling per the contract, with dedicated staff tracking progress throughout; (4) Delivery and acceptance—complete machine commissioning and trial operation before shipment, with dispatch only after passing inspection; (5) Installation and commissioning—technical personnel performing on-site debugging and training operators. Each step has a designated point of contact; you only need to cooperate at each milestone, and we will handle the rest.
IV. Delivery & Lead Time
Q: What are the delivery lead times for standard equipment and customized equipment respectively? I would like to get a general idea before deciding.
A: The delivery lead time mainly depends on the equipment type and the degree of customization. Standard models have a relatively stable lead time, while customized equipment typically takes a bit longer due to solution design and system integration—specific timelines can only be provided after the solution is confirmed. If you have urgent production start-up needs, we will do our best to coordinate production scheduling and prioritize your timeline. We recommend planning ahead. For a rough estimate, please feel free to call us.
Q: During the manufacturing process, can customers track production progress or conduct factory inspections?
A: Yes. We welcome customers to check on progress as needed during production. We can arrange factory inspections at key milestones, or provide photo/video confirmations. Before shipment, we perform complete machine commissioning to ensure performance meets standards before dispatch.
Q: What is the difference between delivery of a complete production line and delivery of a single piece of equipment?
A: A complete production line involves the integration and coordination of multiple equipment units, resulting in a longer delivery timeline and requiring full-line system commissioning and trial production. If you are considering a turnkey line solution, we recommend informing us during the early communication stage. We will assign a project manager to oversee the overall planning and remind you of important timing considerations regarding workshop construction, equipment mobilization, and other aspects. This information is available free of charge to help you plan ahead.
V. Installation, Training & After-Sales
Q: After the equipment arrives, how are installation, commissioning, and operator training arranged?
A: After the equipment arrives at your site, we will dispatch technical engineers to perform on-site installation and commissioning until the equipment operates normally. Upon completion of installation, our technical staff will provide systematic on-site training for operators, covering operating procedures, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting, ensuring that your team gets up to speed quickly. These services are all included within the scope of the contract, so you need not worry about "not knowing how to use it after purchase."
Q: How long is the equipment warranty period? Can we still obtain technical support after the warranty expires?
A: The warranty period is specified in the contract signed by both parties. During the warranty period, we provide free repair or component replacement for non-human-induced faults. After the warranty expires, we offer lifetime technical support and spare parts supply services, ensuring long-term availability of parts, and can sign a maintenance agreement upon request.
